We are a busy ophthalmology practice in Flushing seeking a smart, efficient, and personable Ophthalmic Scribe / Medical Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, learns quickly, and is interested in eye care, medicine, and working closely with a physician in a fast-paced clinic environment.The position involves assisting with patient flow, documenting visits in real time, helping coordinate testing and follow-up, and supporting both clinical and front-office operations as needed. We are willing to train the right candidate, especially someone with strong communication skills, good computer ability, and an interest in growing into a long-term ophthalmic role.Responsibilities:Scribe for the physician during patient visits, including documenting history, exam findings, assessment, and plan in the EMR. Assist with patient intake, chart preparation, and clinical workflow. Help coordinate diagnostic testing, prescriptions, referrals, and follow-up appointments. Support general medical assistant and office tasks as needed to keep clinic running smoothly.Qualifications:Strong typing and computer skills required.
